AHON | DECEMBER AVENUE | MORISSETTE

When we started December Avenue, we never imagined we’d become part of something bigger.

We were just a few dreamers creating songs that felt like home—raw, vulnerable, and deeply human.

But somehow, in the mid-2010s, something shifted. OPM found its voice again. And by 2019, it wasn’t just a revival—it was a movement. Filipino artists were finally being heard. And in that wave, we found ourselves.

Fast forward to today—AHON is our latest offering, this time featuring the incomparable Morissette.

This isn’t just another release for us. It’s a reminder of why we started: to tell stories that matter.

AHON is for those who feel like they’re drowning…

For those who smile in public but cry in silence.

For those who keep showing up, even when life feels too heavy.

Working with Morissette brought a new kind of fire to this track. Her voice carries both power and pain—exactly what AHON needed. We didn’t want this song to just sound good. We wanted it to feel like someone holding your hand at your lowest, whispering, “Kaya mo ‘to.”

I’ve written lots of songs through the years, both with December Avenue and now with Above Velvet Air. But this one hits a different chord. Maybe because I’ve been there, too. And maybe because I know I’m not alone.

To everyone who’s still trying to rise—this song is for you.

Thank you for still listening.

Thank you for growing with us.

This is the era we helped build… and we’re still not done.
