For years, music has been my voice—my way of making sense of the world. But now, my world has changed. Becoming a father has given me a new perspective, a new purpose, and in many ways, a new reason to create. Above Velvet Air is born from that transformation.

The name itself is deeply personal. Above Velvet Air comes from my daughter’s name, Ava, a constant reminder of the love that now shapes everything I do. Fatherhood has redefined the way I see life, and naturally, it has redefined the way I make music. This project is about capturing that raw, honest emotion—stripping everything down to what truly matters.

Debut Single: ‘Close to Me’

The first chapter of Above Velvet Air begins with Close to Me, releasing on February 14, 2025. It’s a song about longing, about holding on to fleeting moments and cherishing the connections that define us. Since becoming a father, I’ve learned that time moves fast, and sometimes, all we can do is be present and hold close the things that truly matter.

Sonically, Close to Me reflects that simplicity and depth. It’s built on organic textures—acoustic-driven, raw, and intentionally unpolished. Every note and lyric carries weight, designed to feel personal yet universal. This is music that breathes, that feels, that lives in the space between what’s said and what’s felt.
