THE VELVET TOUR: CANADA

This isn’t just another tour.
This is me, showing up as I am — father, songwriter, son.
Stripped of the usual noise, in search of something more human.
The Velvet Tour is an intimate solo performance. Raw, quiet, intentional. A space where the music breathes and the stories behind the songs finally get to be heard. I’ll be playing reimagined versions of the songs you may have known through December Avenue, and introducing new ones from my solo project, Above Velvet Air. No big stages. No loud lights. Just me, my guitar, and the truths I’ve never really spoken out loud.

What makes this even more personal is that I’ll be bringing my daughter, Izzy, on this journey. Her first time in Canada.
We’re making a stop near Banff, a quiet place tucked between the mountains, where, not too long ago, my wife and I shared a moment that changed everything.
We didn’t know it yet, but that was the moment she began.
So in many ways, this isn’t just a tour. It’s a homecoming. A full circle.

And maybe that’s what this tour is really about. Coming home to the parts of ourselves we’ve forgotten.
I hope these nights bring you comfort.
I hope they remind you of who you are beneath everything else.
Come as you are. With Love,
Zel
