THE VELVET TOUR: YOUTUBE SERIES

It's been almost a month since The Velvet Tour in Canada, and I still find myself thinking about it.

This tour was special in ways that go beyond the shows themselves. I was on the road with Trish and Izzy by my side, and that alone changed everything. Between soundchecks, long drives, and quiet nights, I was also witnessing moments I will carry with me for the rest of my life. During this tour, I saw Izzy take her first steps walking on her own. Something so simple, yet something that grounded me completely.

To experience that while traveling, while doing the work I love, felt surreal.

I was able to take my daughter to places I only dreamed of seeing as a child. Cities I once imagined through magazines, music videos, and stories now became real places we walked through together as a family. In many ways, this tour felt like healing my inner child. Standing in those places, holding my daughter’s hand, I was reminded of how far life can take you when you least expect it.

Of course, I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to perform and share my music across the world. Every city welcomed me & my family, and the songs I carry, with warmth and sincerity. Vancouver, Calgary, Fort McMurray, Toronto, Montreal. Each night had its own energy, its own conversations, its own quiet moments that stayed with me long after the show ended.

My initial plan was to document one song from each city. But with limited resources on the road, I had to make a choice. I focused the series in one place. Edmonton became the home of this documentation, made possible by close friends who believed in the vision and helped bring it to life. Their support allowed this idea to exist in a way that felt honest and complete.

What this series captures is not the entire tour, but a fragment of it. A moment of where I was, both creatively and personally. Raw, intimate, and imperfect.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, listened, and shared these moments with me. Thank you to the friends who made this possible. And thank you for allowing me to do what I love, while building a life I once only imagined.
